1971 Commend began
1972 Launched first Intercom Station to work on third party intercom systems
1974 First programmable Intercom Central GE 101 with the Intercom Station EE 101: Setting new standards in design and technology; a highly successful product
1980 First global Intercom System using C-MOS microprocessor technology
1989 First Commend subsidiary - Commend Österreich GmbH
1990 Founding of Commend AG in Switzerland
1992 Commend France s.a.r.l join the family
1993 First fully digital Intercom Station with graphic display brought to market, setting the industry standard for Intercom Technology - EE 711
1997 Intercom Centrals are re-named as Intercom servers. Commend introduces the GE 700, a fully digital open 19" system designed for complete intercom networking. Commend leads the way towards the future of intercom.
1998 G7-CNET-W networking card - the start of digital networking.
2001 First subsidiary outside of Europe - Commend Inc. in Mawhaw, New Jersey, USA
2002 Intercom goes IP - G7-CNET-LAN networking card, allows networking over IP. Founding of Commend Australia.
2003 OpenDuplex®: Commend, once again a pioneer in the intercom field, introduces technology that allows talking and listening simultaneously.
2005 The launch of Intercom over IP - IoIP®
